Ever the supporter of fresh talent, Maison Simons tied its legacy to a new showcase of the beautiful melting pot of Canada’s artisans and their wonderful wares: Fabrique 1840 – named for the venerable department store’s own origins.

The vision was to uplift Canadian design to the same storied heights as Scandi and Japanese craft, so Laso orchestrated an event reflective of this, bringing the remarkable artisans themselves into the centre. The buzzed-about brand launch, press push and vernissage of the new artisanal destination created a lasting impression of a brighter future for Canadian customers and artisans alike.

What was left after the party was a community motivated to be and support local.
